Welcome to Shanthi Wellness, LLC. My name is Dr. Rich Stapleton and I am a National Certified Counselor and a licensed counselor in Iowa, Minnesota, Florida, and have privilege to practice telehealth in North Carolina. My physical office is in Iowa City and I provide telehealth for those outside of this area.
I have over 20 years of experience and do individual counseling with all mental health issues, but I focus a lot of my practice working with trauma, vicarious trauma, and working with medical professionals experiencing compassion fatigue or imposter syndrome. I work full-time as a Core Faculty at Walden University in the School of Counseling.
The initial session is an evaluation. During this time, I will assess the appropriateness of telehealth. Telehealth is not appropriate for all mental health issues and is not appropriate for individuals who are suicidal. If telehealth is not appropriate, you are welcome to come to my Linn Street location.
